Koh Mak is located in the Trat Province of Thailand, approximately 320 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. From Trat, you&#8217;ll take a speedboat to Koh Mak.<\/p>\n<p>The most common route to travel is flying into Bangkok, then driving or flying to Trat, then a speedboat to Koh Mak. We&#8217;ve outlined information below to make it as easy as possible for you to arrange your travel to the island.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#travel\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tTRAVEL\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#lodging\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tLODGING\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"#transport\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tTRANSPORTATION\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\tTRAVEL\n\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<h3>\t\n\tSTEP 1: BANGKOK<\/h3><p>International flights will arrive at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokairportonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Suvarnabhumi International Airport<\/a> (BKK), also known as Bangkok International Airport.<\/p>\n\t\t<h3>\t\n\tSTEP 2: TRAT<\/h3><p>From Bangkok,\u00a0you can arrange a local flight to <a href=\"https:\/\/tratairportguide.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trat Airport<\/a> (TDX), or arrange ground transportation such as car rental, bus, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/sg\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grab<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/explorekohchang.com\/koh-mak\/how-to-get-to-koh-mak\/private-transfer-car-minibus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">private<\/a> shuttle service to Trat.<\/p>\n<p>If flying to Trat Airport then book with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokair.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bangkok Airways<\/a>, they typically have 3 flights a day to Trat. From the Trat Airport, you will need a taxi or Grab ride to the pier in Laem Ngop which is approximately 25 kilometers from the airport.<\/p>\n<p>In Thailand, Grab is a very popular ride-share service to use as an alternative to taxis. You can also use it for food delivery and other services. We highly recommend downloading the app and becoming familiar with it before arriving in Thailand.<\/p>\n\t\t<h3>\t\n\tSTEP 3: KOH MAK<\/h3><p>From Trat, you will want to get to the mainland pier in <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/vX9GGxMVUacUVWuYA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laem Ngop, Trat<\/a> where the <a href=\"https:\/\/kohkoodferries.com\/speedboats-koh-mak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speedboats<\/a> depart for Koh Mak. The journey with the speedboats is about a 50-minute once departed, there are also slower boats that take about 3 hours.<\/p>\n\t\t<h3>\t\n\tSTEP 4: RESORT<\/h3><p>Let the resort know what day you are arriving at Koh Mak and that you&#8217;ll be arriving on the speedboat so they can arrange to pick you up from the pier and bring you to the resort.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tLODGING\n\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<h3>\t\n\tRESORTS<\/h3><p>All around the island are boutique resorts on the pristine beaches of Koh Mak.
